Red Gargoyle Art & Gift Wares is based in Brisbane and is proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.         

It was founded by award winning local artist Linda O'Leary who started drawing as soon as she could pick up a crayon to mastering oils at the age of 12. She went on to study at the Queensland College of Art at 15 and has been painting ever since.

Why the name Red Gargoyle? 

After my two passions - Irish/Celtic & Medieval History...The 'Red' symbolises my Celtic hair colouring and 'Gargoyle' from the Medieval Catholic Churches that scared away demonic spirits.

Linda is very proud of her Irish Celtic Ancestory and loves to use the designs of the Celtic knots and other Irish symbolism in her art & gift ware.

She also crafts Jewelley, Stained Glass, Medieval Banners, Designs Logos, Medieval influenced oil paintings and will create your own personalised Coat of Arms. Her interest in Medieval period 600-1600AD has also influenced some of her designs.

She is a proud member of the Queensland Irish Association, Celtic Household called 'Clann na Gaedheal' (SCA) and a participant at the Abbey Medieval Festival.

Linda's Celtic Persona name is 'Flanna ni Gaedheal'

Linda has just won the Journeyman Award for the category of Painting-Historically Correct at the Medieval Masterpiece Exhibition.
